![]() Born in Pittsburgh, PA in 1929, he joined the Navy and met his wife while stationed in Maine. Married in 1951, they began their military life with travels around the world. Dad was passionate about bowling and spent a great deal of time each week with his good friends at "the alley". He also loved crossword puzzles and Sudoku, tackling them every morning to start his day. But his greatest driving force was maintaining and protecting a website promoting information on the attack on the USS Liberty, a ship he served aboard, which was a casualty of the 6 Day War. He is survived by children Kathryn A., John E., Jr., and Steven A. (Carolyn), all in Central Florida, and also by grandchildren Kevin, Aaron, Michael, Angela, and Cody as well as great grandson Liam. He was preceded in death by son Donald Michael this year. |
